Trap game.

That Taylor Potts is pretty good. Can this be a repeat of 2008? Longhorn secondary still a little soft.

Damn sure it could. Only difference is the venue... Texas stadium.

If I gambled I would take Tech in this one.

I'm gonna predict that neither covers.

I'm almost tempted to take OU to cover given our defense. However Tulsa's offense gives teams fits.....and I still need to see more from our offense. Tulsa's defense is guaranteed to be a lot better than Idaho St. I am interested to see how our offense looks when they aren't playing in a typhoon, though.

September 5 North Dakota W 38-13 1-0 (0-0)
September 12 Rice W 55-10
Nevermind....
So they struggled against North Dakota and beat the heck outta Rice..I dont know it is still early in the season so I say that Texas will win but wont cover...

We need to WIN I could care less if we cover..This is a major TRAP GAME

I don't know. Didn't Tulsa have some troubles in their first game?

I'm sorry but I fail to see how any game can be a "trap" based on our two performances thus far.

I no longer bet on OU games. Been burned too many times because of my biased views.

Not that UND had a chance to win that game, but we can play some football up here.

Man I never bet OU (haven't since Kelvin's team gave up back in 2005 ca- ching) but 15.5 at home?

I may be breaking my streak this week.

Tech and Tulsa can catch fire like mad on offense and both could defeat their favored opponents.

Should be some great football this weekend.

Tulsa's stats look pretty good in the first 2 games. Not great opponents, but not Idaho State either. Their QB hasn't thrown a pick yet from the stats I saw, so he is being smart with the ball. I hope our pass rush forces that to change.

Kinne is a good player. I bet the line dips down to around 13.5 or 14 by kickoff. Of course, what do I know?

Yep. A trap is a fluke by definition. OU has to want every game desperately at this point.

Kinne's got some skill. I doubt we overlook them. Especially considering they have a better record than us at this point. The over-inflated egos popped in the first game. It's time to go back out and make a statement. It would be really awesome to hold them under 14 points. I would like to see our O unload on them. They are pretty competent on D from what I've seen, but they haven't really played anybody that was worth a crap.

I can't imagine Texas not blowing Tech up. Texas has every reason to be vengeful, it's at night in Austin, and Tech is reloading a bit. 17+ feels about right to me. I certainly wouldn't bet on Tech to cover.

And I wouldn't touch OU/Tulsa. Who the hell knows how we'll do. I know we can't punch it on from the 2 in four tries against a I-AA team or a Mountain West team. And I'm not sold on this defense.
