...completely owned the game when he was in there with the second string D.

Solo tackles: 6
Assists: 3
Tackles for loss: 2.5
Yards lost: 11

He played most of the third qtr and about one series in the 4th.

is it me but does look like Reynolds sometimes runs with a gimp? Noticed it in the 2d half of BYU and saw him struggling to get back in coverage......limping. Just wondering if he is 100%?

He didn't look right to me against BYU either. Hopefully Box keeps on improving, and we will be OK.

Box had the same "tired-legs" walk yesterday too. I can't imagine playing D-1 football after having your knees rebuilt.

Those Idaho State players thought they were gonna pound that Box.

So much for that.

Huh, he looked like the fasted player on the field last night to me. He was flying everywhere.

He looked like he was flying around to me too. Hope he can get on the field with the first team some the rest of the season.

I agree...I meant that when he walked back to the line after making a play, he had that old man walk, like those knees were smarting.

Actually, BV put Box in with the first unit for 2-3 series at the end of the first half. I thought that was surprising considering how BV usually substitutes. Think BV could actually thinking ahead?

Nice observation Chili,,,didn't see that.

Seems like a good move on BV's part, whatever his reasoning.

I don't know how anybody could take anything away from the game Saturday considering the opponent...

I'm pretty sure Troup and myself would have had a similar line playing D against that O

I heard Reynolds got his bell rung a little, so they put in Box for the rest of the game.

Oh, also:
... was sloppy wet but tight on coverage

I agree, saw this with BYU, Reynolds looked unable to cover the TE crossing route, maybe BYU had an exceptionally fast TE but looked like BYU was taking advantage of a mis-match. If this is true (not saying it is), everyone left on the schedule will test this.

BYU's TE was legit.

Box is like Boz, so "Box" can be extended to "Boxworth." or just be known as "The Box."

yeah Box enabled some penetration when wet the other night, but at least Box wasn't getting chafed, as it tends to happen in drier conditions.

leave it to YOU to go "back" to the original thoughts after the entire thread has gone juvenile ;)

with that being said, I'd prefer box go with a hitler instead of a landry ;)

I think you're thinking of the wrong Austin. There is no reason to think outside English... and that's Auston, if I'm not mistaken.

see, i can be juvenile if i try... i can also be lame and not funny

•LB Austin Box had a back flare up of some kind that didn’t seem to fire up Venables. When asked why Box didn’t play, Venables said, ” I don’t know what his issue is. They said that he wasn’t gonna be able to go. I don’t know what that means. He said he could’ve gone, but…”
