the media lovefest for SC freshman quarterback Barkley has officially begun. And this may eventually rival the inexplicable Tebow fascination.

McKnight carried SC down the field on their game-winning drive - it was almost ALL McKnight. Barkley completed one downfield pass (to the TE) but there's hardly any mention of McKnight anywhere.... it's all about Barkley.

15/31 for 195 yards (49%) 0 TD's / 1 INT. Let the slobbering begin.

SC does have top-of-the-wolrd caliber of qb. Heck, SC does have top-of-the-world players in every postion.

The only thing they sometime dont have is luck.

It looked like OSU defense just fell apart on the last USC drive.

Also on the 2 point conversion, I wish OSU had intercepted that little side line pass and gone the distance for the 17-16 win.

I concur on this... there is going to be a lov fest with this kid and winning on the road against a good defense but a team that has no offense.

Bingo. tOSU's defense gave that one away.

Yeah. And Ohio State is in desperate need of a good QB coach. Wow.

The silver lining in this is that the more time they spend fawning over Barkley, the less time they have to spend on that circumcision facilitator down south!

No, they need a good QB; Pryor is a worse passer than VY ever was

Also, did USC's drive and OSU's collapse seem inevitable to anyone other than me?

Reminds me of the Colt lovefest in2006?,he went somthing 9-17 for 105 yards in the RRS and all of a sudden he was Johnny U incarnate.

On the other hand this IS typical Condomn lovefest.I vividly recall John David Booty and Mark Sanchez were pimped as Heisman contenders before their first career starts.

This will all dispense after they fall to a lesser conference opponent. I remember a quote last year, after the Oregon State loss that "remember, the PAC 10 isn't as in awe of USC as the rest of America is." They will to do like us and have a WTF game, hopefully for us, OUrs already happened.

Yep. I went to dinner with my wife at halftime and told her that tOSU would manage to blow the game at the end and there was no reason to watch. I tivo'd the 2nd half just in case some miracle happened, but it was a waste of disk space.

Sadly, I felt the same way about tOSU as my favorite crimson team. Either they come out and take charge of the game in the first half or they fade in the 2nd half. I was envious of teams like Umich yesterday that came through in the clutch.

I don't listen to any of the media anymore, I no longer watch any of the shows for any sport on ESPN I pretty much limit my time on there to only watching games. So I don't get too much of the hype anymore and I used to be a bit of a junkie about it.

We could help make that happen on Oct. 17. Only think is I would rather have us in there then one of them. And, I'm not saying which one.

I wanted that 2 point conversion intercepted and run back as well. Would have alright with me.

But I had that feeling in my gut Ohio State was going down once USC got on McKnight and rode him hard down the field. I kept waiting for him to fumble... never happened.

I can't remember the last time I pulled for USC.
I do remember the last time I pulled for the horns (against USC)
And the last time I pulled for tOSU (against USC)
And ND and Michigan and ... (against USC)

I think I see a pattern developing. It would be a lot more rewarding if I could back the condoms, though.

I couldn't take Brent Hamburglar's comment of "a last minute drive for the ages for Barkley!"

Uh, Brent without #4, they'd be hopeless. Give him the credit.
