2011 Prospect Johnny Haynes (http://rivals.yahoo.com/texas/football/recruiting/player-Johnny-Haynes-94741) is rumored to have committed, but things are sketchy right now because he is claiming to have an offer, but some sites are claiming he doesn't.... We will see soon enough what the story is. He looks like a good player though with offers ALREADY from UCLA and Notre Dame.

If he has offers from those schools I say let him commit!

I didn't think offers could be extended out this early anyway?

I believe September 1st was the starting point where offers could go out.

I don't think there is a set time to start offers.Many schools (including OU) will often offer schollies after summer camps.Ialso believe that it can theoretically be offered to a player at any age,although offering to anyone who isn't at least a junior is dicey.

They cannot offer before September 1st. I think they can give a VERBAL offer, but not written.
