The injury to Sam looked eerily similar to 49ers Steve Young's injury that I witnessed in 1996 vs the Houston Oilers. Same image of a defensive linebacker riding the QB and planting his opposite shoulder into the turf of the Astrodome. That shoulder injury caused Young to miss the rest of the game, however I am sure he felt it for some time.

My question is: What the heck is the surface of Dallas Cowboys Stadium made of? Anyone know or have a link? What part, if any, did it play into the damage of Sam's shoulder? I have spent some time looking for the what materials exactly make up the turf at Cowboys Stadium and have found only this http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/graphics/0509/stadium/ Did anyone attending the game receive this info?

It was a clean hit on Sam, not the turf that caused it.

Overall Stadium---FAIL

Freaking Music playing all- all the time------FAIL
cost of beer 8.00 per bottle-----FAIL

Except for Sam getting hurt, I still think it was a good idea. Better to find out the team's flaws in Week 1 than to stroll into Dallas in October untested and thinking we're going to give them a whooping, only to find out we've got serious problems.

Then again I didn't go to the game and didn't subject myself to that kind of price gouging.

I hope they didn't use the same contractor to put up the video board they used to construct their practice facility.
