Other than an insane FG (coaching call), I was pleasantly surprised with special teams...didn't give up any major returns.

I think we had a better chance at making the field goal then we did at making a first down.

Yup. That 5 yard penalty hurt (not that it would have mattered with his kick but you never know).

i was never a kicker, but you know how you try to hit the golf ball extra hard when you have to carry a creek or something? and because you tried to hit it so hard, it actually went shorter? something tells me there's a lot to be said about the comfort between a 49 yarder and 54 yarder. both big kicks, for sure. but i bet that 5 yards is significantly psychologically.

If he makes the kick, it was genious...if not, we should have gone for it on 4th...you go with your gut feeling and it was a very difficult situation...

If its a 49 yarder do you think Stevens is kicking? Also, all i heard about in the first scrimmage was how well Stevens was kicking and that he nailed a 53 yarder. What is one more yard? Why did Way get the nod. Just wondering.

Since the game was on the line, I think I would have removed the red shirt from the kid for Norman North and let him try.

I wish we a had Mason Crosby...

1) don't give schollys to punters kickers
2) go the ttech route and get a student who is a former fb player/ soccer player
3) give him a scholly if he produces

We were all(6 of us) saying "They need to let Tress Way kick it."

They did. We liked the call, Landry getting a 1st down was a bigger risk IMO.

Yep. I liked the Tress Way call.

Now, 1-3rd downs is another story. Run, run, run. Up the middle, up the middle, up the middle.
