About OU:
1. We didn't reload right away on the O-Line.

2. Losing Iglesias and Johnson hurt.

3. Losing Gresham for this game hurt more.

4. G-Mac is the real deal at DT.

5. OUr D is as good as advertised.

About BYU:

1. Hall has a nice touch when he needs to.

2. BYU is better than we thought they were on D.

3. BYU's run game is for real (especially when you don't wrap up).

4. Pitta is a great TE. Not good. Great.

5. This team should win the MWC title. If they don't, it'll be because of something unforseen.

Any Tightend (Shipley) can be a star versus a zone defense with a competent QB and OC. Too much zone. So many of our nice defensive plays were our guys (McCoy especially) making great individual plays, not great positioning by the call. They BYU offense dominated our blitz calls, particularly in the 1st half, and fortunately for us turned the ball over after 2 long drives. Ugh

Looked like the 2005 offensive playbook (Vs TCU) and OLine today. Vanilla play calling with the best QB in the game. Wow.

So he's a wideout? He was exploiting OU's defense in the same way UTerus did the year before and BYU's Tightends did today. Here's some more red for ya dbag.

i'm not convinced. yet.
run-wise, we played outstanding.
giving up 300+ passing yards...not so much...albeit with 2 INT's so props there.

with the exception of the "boomer" formation in the 1st half (3 plays), KW calls the same conservative game with the same players running the same plays in the same situations time and time again. He did it again tonight and its not hard to defense this team when you ave several weeks to prepare. Along with no "vertical" passing game. Has KW forgotten thats is not against the rules to throw the balll 40 yards down the field?

Yep. McCoy is a great player and great leader.

O-line concerns were justified. That was the game.

DM looks better than this time last year, but no where near the 2nd half of last year.

Laundry Jones has a strong arm and played well given the circumstances. He didn't get us beat, he made a few good throws.

No WR stepped up, but with all the penalties from the O-line, it's hard to tell how many shots they had.

The drop by Tennell at the end followed by yet another false start robbed Stevens a chance to get an early hero with a 44 yard attempt.

The decision to try a 54 yarder looked like desperation to me. I would have rather given Jones a shot to convert.
