ASHBURN, Va. (AP)—Shaun Suisham(notes) gets to stick around for another season as the Washington Redskins kicker.
Suisham got the nod over Dave Rayner(notes) when the Redskins announced their final roster cuts Saturday.
The team also waived Chase Daniel and placed Colt Brennan(notes) on injured reserve with hip and hamstring injuries, leaving only two quarterbacks on the roster.
Daniel said he expects to get a spot on the practice squad. Brennan aggravated a hamstring injury in Thursday’s game against Jacksonville and has been battling a previously undisclosed hip problem.
The Redskins cut 21 players to get their roster down to 53 for the regular season.
