Yep...afraid of Georgia.

Here's the story.

Oklahoma State and Georgia will not be shaking hands at midfield prior to their game Saturday, in part because Cowboys coach Mike Gundy fears provoking an incident that can't be controlled.

"Our first concern was [we'll] have 115 guys out there and they'll have 70, it just takes one guy to pop off. Then I don't know how you're going to break it up. How do you control something like that?"

Wait....I'm missing something....Mike Gundy has 115 guys and they have 70 and he is worried?

It gets better and better the more you read of it....lol

So basically he's saying he has absolutely no control over his team and they are too stupid to act right on their own?

Might explain some of the arrests...

I am sorry, isn't he supposed to be teaching them how to control themselves as young men and not rise to violence. If Stoops said something like this, I would be sick. If you can't control your players...you should probably quit

Well, they can't handle such pressure...They aren't 40.

Yep...A team on the rise!

I didn't post this to pick on his infant players either. I posted it because THE MAN is scared for his chitlins.

It's a smart move on his part. Because up until then the Aggies are still going to think they can actually win the game.

Is this the 15 player handshake thing? If so, surely EVERY team has 15 players that can control themselves for 15 seconds. Hell even Oregon and Boise made it through this without trouble

Their linebacker might try to rape someone though...

Hands shakes before a game is horse ****. I support Gundy on his stance. Stoops should man up and do the same.

The NCAA also weighed in.

"Under no circumstance is fighting acceptable. ... Sportsmanship is everyone's responsibility, including student-athletes, coaches, officials, institutions and fans," NCAA spokesman Erik Christianson said in a statement.

Players from both sides, Blount included, met at midfield for a pregame handshake Thursday, the result of a sportsmanship initiative developed for this weekend's games by the American Football Coaches Association and the NCAA. Grant Teaff, the AFCA's executive director, said Friday the incident would not dampen the weekend.

"This case points out that we still need to have a commitment to sportsmanship and respect," Teaff told ESPN's Joe Schad. "It was sad as I watched [the events in Boise], but the good news is nobody joined in. That would have been a brawl back in the day. This was one player who was frustrated and infuriated and lost control."

Its just another indication on how much our country is becoming a bunch of pansies. Lets shake and play nice. No one get their feeling hurt if a tackle is made. There really are no losers. BLAH.

Oh everyone knows it is a big pile of horse ****. However, say that and don't say "my boys might start a riot because they are buffoons"

The porno industry could learn a lot from the NCAA. Imagine the type of publicity they would get if you had a pre-sex hand shake

Good lord, a pre-game handshake isn't about that. It's about meeting your opponent close up, looking them in the eye, and saying "I respect that we have both chosen to play this sport, and now we're going to back over to our side and prepare to leave YOU stains on this field."

It's like giving the other side a chance to withdraw before you commence the beat down.

Well, at least for OUr players it is.

If Boxers can touch gloves before a fight, you would think football players could shake hands.

It is a chance for the players to face off at mid-field and say. "You took my boy's trophy. We came for the other one".
