View Full Version : So, the "Green Jobs" Czar isn't just a Communist...

He's a "truther" as well....

President Obama’s “green jobs czar” Van Jones has been targeted again and again by conservatives for his controversial views and now they’ll have another item to use as fodder.
Mr. Jones signed a statement for 911Truth.org in 2004 demanding an investigation into what the Bush Administration may have done that “deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.”

...

9/11Truth.org spokesman Mike Berger told the Washington Times over the phone that all of the signers had been verified by their group. He said 9/11Truth.org board members “spoke with each person on the list by phone or through email or individually confirm they hae added their name to that list.”
“I think in most cases they spoke to them personally,” he added. “No one’s name was put on that list without them knowing it.”http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/back-story/2009/sep/03/green-jobs-czar-signed-truther-statement-in-2004/?feat=home_blogs

Controversial views?? I'd think he goes way beyond anything considered controversial.

What's better, Truthers or Birthers? I forget.I'm going to have to go with the Birthers on this one. I doubt many of the "Birthers" call themselves communists, and they aren't suggesting the President killing anyone for political gain...

And I seriously doubt any "birther" will be a member of a sitting President's administration anytime soon.

What is amazing about Jones is that there is all this video of this guy spouting his views. The things this guy has said, in most cases, would disqualify you from being within 1000 yrds of a president. Many of these statements are recent. The only one he has addressed is an apology he made for calling Republicans a-holes. How irrelevant is that? This is par for the course.

Please in all seriousness, one of you who still support the Pres., could one you explain to me why you support this surrounding himself with advisers that are admittedly radical and range from marxist to communist.

I am not being antagonistic. These are truths. So...I just want to understand my fellow Americans.

While the list reads like a board of trustees for lefty's, this doesn't sound like some kinda Alex Jones/PrisonPlanet schtick. I don't see any crazy conspiracy nuts, just a group of people who feel that the 9/11 commision was a group of political hacks trying to cover the *** for being asleep at the wheel.

Of course to tossing out "truther" and "communist" does appeal to the not so deep thinkers.

Really??? Seriously??

This is from their website:

OUR MISSION

TO EXPOSE the official lies and cover-up surrounding the events of September 11th, 2001 in a way that inspires the people to overcome denial and understand the truth; namely, that elements within the US government and covert policy apparatus must have orchestrated or participated in the execution of the attacks for these to have happened in the way that they did.http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20061014120445472

So, how is that not a "crazy conspiracy" again?????

And Van Jones called himself a communist.

An important difference between the WJC admin and the BHO admin is, BHO has created all these "czars" who don't require Senate confirmation and the associated security clearance vetting.

Which is good for BHO, because most of these cats would flunk. Like the subject left-wing whack-job.

Fortunately for us taxpayers, these lunatics couldn't organize a one car funeral. Much less pass "cap and tax." F'em. And the horse they rode in on. Regretable he got all that "stimulating" done in the "historic" post-inaugural euphoria. Nevertheless, he's in real school now. Krauthammer nailed it today.

Obama, the Mortal

By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, September 4, 2009

What happened to President Obama? His wax wings having melted, he is the man who fell to earth. What happened to bring his popularity down further than that of any new president in polling history save Gerald Ford (post-Nixon pardon)?

The conventional wisdom is that Obama made a tactical mistake by farming out his agenda to Congress and allowing himself to be pulled left by the doctrinaire liberals of the Democratic congressional leadership. But the idea of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi pulling Obama left is quite ridiculous. Where do you think he came from, this friend of Chávista ex-terrorist William Ayers, of PLO apologist Rashid Khalidi, of racialist inciter Jeremiah Wright?

But forget the character witnesses. Just look at Obama's behavior as president, beginning with his first address to Congress. Unbidden, unforced and unpushed by the congressional leadership, Obama gave his most deeply felt vision of America, delivering the boldest social democratic manifesto ever issued by a U.S. president. In American politics, you can't get more left than that speech and still be on the playing field.

In a center-right country, that was problem enough. Obama then compounded it by vastly misreading his mandate. He assumed it was personal. This, after winning by a mere seven points in a year of true economic catastrophe, of an extraordinarily unpopular Republican incumbent, and of a politically weak and unsteady opponent. Nonetheless, Obama imagined that, as Fouad Ajami so brilliantly observed, he had won the kind of banana-republic plebiscite that grants caudillo-like authority to remake everything in one's own image.

One more comment on this: Howard Dean has me busting a gut every time he opens that yapper:

In an interview this morning, he defends Jones by saying he's a best selling author and a Harvard educated lawyer.

In the next statement he says Jones was't aware of what he was signing when he added his name to the "9/11 For Truth" petition.

Would someone please fill me in on what they teach in Harvard Law School?

Furthermore, could somebody enlighten me on the vetting process used in the Obama Administration?

Not to turn into Tuba or anything, but after the Tim Geitner and Tom Daischle debacles, you'd think they'd at least tweat the process to ensure a repeat would not occur.

In the end, a person's views on 9/11 have as much to do with being a green jobs czar as my opinions on nuclear physics have to do with Sooner football. But knowing how your side might react if a future Republican President had a birther in his administration...

Obama's green jobs czar Van Jones quits under fire
September 5, 2009 | 10:10 pm

Van Jones, the onetime Marxist whose controversial statements about Republicans and 9/11 have made him a distracting lightning rod as Barack Obama's environmental jobs czar in recent days, resigned tonight.

Now, the Sunday morning political talk shows (guest listings here) will have something really hot to talk about.

On Wednesday, as The Ticket reported here, Jones was forced to apologize when a video surfaced of his February remarks in Berkeley, of all places, using a reference to a lower anatomical orifice to describe Republicans.

The next day Jones again had to apologize for having his signature on a petition to then N.Y. Attorney General Eliot Spitzer seeking an investigation into the 9/11 attacks as possibly an inside job planned by then-Pres. George W. Bush to soften opposition to a war in Iraq.

On another video here Jones was seen mocking Bush physically and rhetorically as "a crackhead" for his addiction to petroleum.

Jones was special adviser for green jobs to the White House Council on Environmental Quality. As such, Jones, who was arrested in Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots, was supposed to....

...help reduce American dependence on foreign oil. But recently he had become the much-bashed target of conservative talk show hosts and readers leaving comments on countless blogs, including this one.

Additional criticism mounted when many major media outlets, especially TV, ignored the growing controversy.

With the healthcare and deficit debates certain to heat up now as Congress returns to Washington and with the president seeking to refocus political discussion this coming week with a controversial speech of his own to the nation's school children on Tuesday and an address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday evening, another bloody fight over an outspoken appointee was not in Obama's gameplan.

Especially one with such crudely-expressed views of the minority party that Obama wouldn't mind getting some support from.

Although Jones disavowed his previous remarks this week, on Friday with the president out of town at Camp David the White House said that he would remain a part of the administration.

However, the lack of the usual full-throated official endorsement -- "Mr. X has the president's fullest confidence and he looks forward to working with him in the years to come to improve life for American citizens" -- signaled to many that the controversial Jones' hours in this Democrat's White House were numbered.

Tonight, right around midnight, the bewitching hour when not by chance few media were paying attention, those hours ran out for Jones.

In his resignation statement, he said, "On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide." Jones added he could not ask colleagues to expend time and energy defending or explaining his past.

Council chair Nancy Sutley did not argue with Jones' resignation, saying only he had been a strong voice for renewable energy jobs and wished him well in the future.

Speaking of rape allegations, I don't remember former Pres. Der Schlichmeister ever discussing the Juanita Broderick situation back in AR, before he was made POTUS. He should fess up, now, since he can't be impeached for it now.(just to clear the air, and look like a good guy, haha)
