I'm sure 11 hours included therapy for the injured, film, and other stuff. But I totally believe that RichRod was using too much time and the NCAA wouldn't allow it. That being said....I would bet that many schools do the same. Its a matter of respect for the coach, program, and desire that would propel a player to whine over this. Expect Michigan to miss a bowl game. "OR" they go to the Emerald Bowl or something.

I suspect Michigan will miss a bowl game without any help from the NCAA.

Amazing that a team can practice so much and still suck harder than Andy Dick.

Laugh all you want at Michigan's fall from the upper echelon of football teams but never forget OUr own hard times 1995-1998.

For a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession were trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts, laden with treasure or captured armaments.

The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the day's prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes, his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses.

A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown and whispering in his ear a warning, that all glory is fleeting . . .

.[/QUOTE Pardon me BUt the LOST DECADE ran from '89-'98.Despite two 9-3 records Gibbs produced a 5-4-2 and a 6-6 campaign that showed OU was headed downwaed.True it did bottom out from '95-'98 but 44-23-2 ain;t OU football either. The last game of the Gibbs debacle ironically was a 31-6 loss to BYU,I am still thirsting for revenge.Thankfully the time is at hand.

IF Michigan just paid their players like USC,this never would have happened. The NCAA obviously isn't interested in BIG TIME violations only lesser ones.

Or, if you're Oklahoma State, your glory fleets even before it arrives. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?subjectid=12&articleid=20090902_12_0_STILLW779442)

This week has been fun, guys. I take the lack of OU-related news to be a very, very good sign. :D

This is going to blow over with no violations. The columnist who 'broke' the story is now getting the 'overzealous' backlash, and any 'extra' time over the NCAA limits were voluntary not mandatory, the kids signed the waivers, and that's the straw that should break the camel's back in this story.

fwiw, it's Carr commits that they went to that created the story.
