Yeah, I know golf, but I went yesterday, mainly, to see the new track just off the southern tip of NYC. The place is friggin awesome. I'm not sure how the pros will like it, but it's a thing of beauty. Look away links haters.

They are amazing. These pics make some holes look alot more 'claustrophobic' than they do on TV. But still, those vistas.. that clubhouse, wow!

Good luck, they have 90 members and two of them are named P Mickelson and L Donald. It's almost 500k to join which is a pittance compared to some of the Hamptons layouts.

If the wind stays down, the pros will probably light the place up. It was brisk yesterday and I bet the stroke avg was about 4-7 higher.

I looked away. But, not before seeing how incredible those pics are.

My beef with golf is largely based on taking public water in areas that often have water shortages, as well as run-off of pesticides and fertilizers that contaminate downstream with the benefit being only a few of the rich who can appreciate the sport. Not like agriculture that actually produces something.

But, yeah, those are some really great pics and spek to you. Thanks for sharing them and that's before I looked away. ;)

Actually, I think they use a lot of reclaimed water AND the area where the course is now used to be practically condemned thanks to chromium waste. Minimal impact was taken into consideration when they built the place. Probably a part of the ginormous pricetag that was record-setting.

sooneron,

I hear the course in Bayonne is ten times the track Liberty National is. I wonder how the scenery/view compares.

Yeah, but it's in ****ing Bayonne!:texan:

yuck

Jersey City is really nice, it's pretty much an extension of NYC these days.

Bayonne is farther from the citay. Lot's of "Dock scenery" around there. That's a really nice track. http://www.bayonnegolfclub.com/
I'm going to Montauk on Saturday, but I'm not taking my bag. Wish I was so I could get a round in at the Downs, I love that course.
