Vtech verus bama is a great matchup. Putting a green QB against a Bud Foster defense will e very interesting to watch. Tech doesn't have the same horses as bama, but I like the chance to pull the upset and really knock bama around.

Take it to the bank Bama wins this game

yermom
8/27/2009, 12:57 PM
but do they cover? that's the question :D

i think i'd take Bama. i really don't think VT can hang, and i'd imagine them losing by at least a TD

I like VT's quarterback..I think a guy with that kinda ability can make this game more than interesting...VT in a shocker

Im taking Bama but I want VT

Alabammer has proven under Saban so far they can win games without stellar offense. VT at times just looks awfully disoriented offensively, but manages to win much the same way. If McElroy can hit Julio in stride, Bama wins something like 24-10ish IMO.

STEP, is Tyrod Taylor any kind of an NFL prospect at this point?

stoops the eternal pimp
8/27/2009, 01:11 PM
definitely not as a quarterback..not yet anyway....."T-Mobile" only threw 2 TDs in 10 starts last year....runs a solid 4.39, so at 6'1 200 he could be a wr, or even better a corner or perhaps a safety....

Collier11
8/27/2009, 01:39 PM
Lets say he goes out this year and has 15tds and 10 ints and runs for 500yds, still a WR?

stoops the eternal pimp
8/27/2009, 01:49 PM
yup....What he needs is a high completion percentage, a not-so-jerky throwing motion, set his feet better, go through his reads faster and not stop at 1......he was a top 10 passing quarterback coming out of high school, but its as if his college coaches didn't work with him at all...

Virginia Tech's offense is suspect and just lost their best running back to injury. Alabama is going to have a hard time moving the ball as well, as they lost a few lineman to the NFL and start a new quarterback. Thinking the play may be under.

what is the over/under?

Collier11
8/27/2009, 01:54 PM
Look for 2 or more Def/ST Tds IMO

23-17 Bama

It all depends on how good they're quarterback is going to be.

Pete Carroll at USC

he has only lost 1 game, by more than a TD

that was his first season against ND

that's a hell of a stat

just saw that...geez thats low...

the OU O/U is a little low. i mean we don't shut people out most of the time...

Yeah, I made sure I got my money in at 68.5

8/27/2009, 04:41 PM
i have hard times betting on OU... just too many things can mess up .

if its a pickem, i do it

stoops the eternal pimp
8/27/2009, 04:42 PM
i bet the overs every week of the regular season last year...and made a lot of money

JLEW1818
8/27/2009, 04:43 PM
yah, seems like most of the time tho, when in doubt, i always go under at the last minute (not OU games)

cause people always want to see points, so they bet over, and the over keeps going up, then i sneak in with under!

i hardly ever do spreads anymore at all

Week 3 - UF beatdown of Lame Kitten (guessing). Game doesn't deserve it but Lame made it worthy of attention by making himself such an easy target.

Bama has a "home" game in Atlanta. The crowd should be 60% Bama fans. Of course we have a home game in Arlington where 75% of the fans should be OU fans. I think GameDay will be in Norman only once this year. Nov. 28th

JLEW1818

probably so, and at RedRiver
