when i was in college, Phish. they are OK, but it's hard to make the claim they are the alpha and omega of musical expression when you know *so precious little* about any other music, particularly the history of the musics (blues, rock, be bop improv, free jazz etc.) that apparently Phish has eclipsed by appropriating them.

I pretty much can't stand the Dead unless they were off on a freeform jam, but measuring a band's worth by how many top 10 pop hits they had is silly. Most bands with loads of top 10 hits get them by playing to the LCD and don't deserve to be compared to actual bands playing music.

I didn't even think about the "juggalos"...I have to agree with this one. I know a guy that drove several hundred miles to get a bottle of Faygo to go with his collection because they didn't sell that flavor Faygo in Alabama...

Oh no, I totally agree. I just get tired of hearing how great they were by their die hards and they really to me were just kind of blow hards.
