He was lighting my depleted Syracuse defense up in NCAA 10, and then i took his knees out =]

But yea, I was surprised that Aaron Corp is even that highly ranked

how can you rate a quarterback in the top ten that hasn't taken a snap as a starter yet? (aaron corp) I think if you load griffin with the talent that other players have they have in the right spot, but he doesn't.

Everyone always says that with the scramblers, but when they go to the NFL they suck.

I dont see how you can say that, just with Bradford on the list is enough...and theres alot of other guys on the list with NFL star power potential.. just because your not the top QB in college doesnt mean you wont be good in the NFL...Tom Brady anyone???

can we please hold a press conference to figure out who is to blame for Jevan Snead being above Tim Tebow?

Glad Sam is where he belongs on that list!
I know Todd Reesing isn't considered highly as a pro QB, but I'd take him over Jimmy Clausen any day! And why Aaron Corp is in the mix is beyond me!

I was about to ask exactly what they're basing Aaron Corp's inclusion on. Recruiting stars?

Same goes for Jimmy Clausen. Really?

With 5 star recruits at all the OL positions as well as WR, any USC QB just has to close his eyes and throw to get a > 50% completion rate. I hear Aaron Corp is going to play with eyes open.

just because your not the top QB in college doesnt mean you wont be good in the NFL...Tom Brady anyone???
And just because you're a great college QB apparently doesn't mean you'll do well in the NFL...Vince Young anyone? (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/columnists/jtaylor/stories/082409dnspotaylorcol.33da293.html)

(Woulda posted this in another thread but I can't create new ones yet, and it was vaguely related :-p)

many many many people thought Vince would be nothing in the NFL, myself included.

LawtonBoy74
8/26/2009, 01:14 AM
Tom is the exception I guess, but there are a lot of other QBs who werent hot shots in college like Tony Romo, Big Ben he was good in college but no one thought he'd win two superbowls....The QB position is one of the hardest positions to scout because some guys like Vince Young had a great Texas team to play for in college where he could depend on his athleticism.. and then you have guys like Big Ben and Eli Manning who were on above average college teams but then made the transition to the NFL in great situations where they didn't have to win games with their arm but they could depend on their great running backs and offensive schemes.

Ben was still a first rounder, that went late in the first round, therefore the team drafting him, is usually pretty good.

Does Jake Locker still have a neck?

I'm not just referring to our game... dude has gotten twisted so many times that his neck must be made of taffy.

Jevan Sneed above Tim Tebow.

I can see Ole Miss winning their division and playing Florida in the SEC title game. We'll see who earns their ranking.

And with their tie-breaker system, could keep the SEC out of a title game. Which is why the Big 12 coaches voted to keep the current tie-breaker system in place.

Didn't Arkansas fire the current Ole Miss coach?

Oh yeah, him and Reesing had very good Soph years and they are both very good QB's today.

List is absolutely bogus. Corp just got demoted and Barkeley is going to start for USC. Media is going to have a new guy to fawn over now.

Now if you want to ask some people who know something about football who they would pick as a QB, read this article.

That link is useless to make your point. Several pick Bradford and at least one says he'd be running the option with Tebow. That does not equate to Tebow having anything resembling pro potential.

I thought that Tim T was the greatest football player around. After, the TB tells me that he can 'will' his time to win. So, why is he at #4?

Aaron Corp hasn't started or played in a game yet and he's top 10? The list says "best QB rankings", not "highest recruited QB rankings". While I don't doubt that Mr. Corp is talented, he needs to prove it on the field first. While we're on the subject of USC QB's, a true freshman QB going into Columbus at night...good luck Trojans.

i think i could have found some better legends

timmy is a great college quarterback, so sure he is in a debate where they would want him to be their college starter...

Well, there were two whole MNCs on that panel. We all know that RC knows what he's doing when it comes to the qb situation!

USC must be so stocked with REALLY GOOD ATHLETES that the 10th best quarterback is second string on his own team.
