will he be giving another year of eligibility after this season, is that possible?

2008
Leader of Oklahoma defense until suffering torn ACL in season's sixth game against Texas ... honorable mention All-Big 12 by the AP ... recorded two double-digit tackle games against TCU (10) and Baylor (14) ... received defensive coordinator Brent Venables' first-ever perfect linebacking grade against Baylor ... forced a fumble against Cincinnati.

2007
Received first career start vs. North Texas and finished with three tackles and one sack ... six tackles vs. Miami ... nine stops, three for loss, vs. Utah State ... had an interception and 12-yard return at Tulsa ... career-high 15 tackles at Colorado ... missed Iowa State game with neck injury.

2006
Missed the season after suffering a knee injury during off-season drills ... redshirted.

2005
True freshman who saw most of his snaps on special teams ... logged tackles against Tulsa, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.

Hmmm, the question is how many games can be played in one year and still allow for redshirt? Shipley did it. Even if he did come back we should be stout at LB. But, that position is accident prone!

That was my assumption.

I hope RR has a great season and is projected too high a draft pick to consider coming back.

He dropped A LOT of weight this off season. He said he wanted to take some strain off his knees. With that and the number change, hopefully he can finish.

I wouldnt imagine he would ever be higher than a 3rd or 4th rd pick at best with his knee issues but who knows

I can't imagine he'd ever get drafted, just don't see him having an nfl caliber 40 time

Reynolds probably stays on as a Grad Assistant.

That would be fantastic and keep that Vegas/Bishop Gorman Pipeline going.

Nation's # 1 TE this year, but the pipeline has been diverted to USuC.

The prep schools around here always have some big talent. I'm sure we'll be in on some of that, particularly from Gorman.

He can get granted an extra year if they can prove that the "redshirt" was due to injury.. If thats the case I dont see the problem, I've seen this done plenty of times before

I'm really happy to see some light coming about in the Balogun case. Sounds like the NCAA is going to make a deal. But even if he is cleared he will only see 4th qt duty bc RR will be rockin it HEALTHY all year long. I just got the news from my magic 8 ball!

Last I checked one, 1 minute of game time means no redshirt. A Medshirt (redshirt for medical reasons) can be had if you played in less than 20% of the games in a year (RR played through 5.5 last year, so no dice on that). Though the player can petition and in some cases, like *Shipley*, can petition the NCAA and be granted an extra year of eligibility due to lost eligibility that was caused by outside sources and out of the student athletes control. In this case it would be RR's repeated injuries over the years (IE a medshirt for the collective missed PT due to his injuries).

Reynolds has been injured three times during a five year career. This isn't like Ben Mauk, who jumped from school to school until he finally got to start and then wanted more PT.
