Just saw this article. What do you think it will do to them?

OCALA, Fla. (Associated Press) --
The Florida Gators could be without two big men next season.

Coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday that small forward Adam Allen had a second surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left leg and won't be cleared to practice until at least mid-September. He says forward/center Eloy Vargas could be academically ineligible.

Although neither did much last season, the Gators had been counting on Allen and Vargas to play bigger roles this year.

Without them, Donovan's frontcourt would include center Kenny Kadji and forwards Alex Tyus, Vernon Macklin, Dan Werner and Erik Murphy. Only Tyus and Werner have much experience.

Oh, and more importantly, I don't know if anyone gives a chit. Especially since football season is right around the corner.

You caught me quick! Wanted to see how soon anyone would catch it. However, we are so desperate for anything since football isn't here that maybe we can have a great discussion about this as it relates to football or the desire to have football NOW!

Eloy Vargas is gone. Even with the tutoring, the kid had no chance to pass college classes. Look for Cal and UK to try and sign him.

Donovan needed to clean house of some recruiting mistakes and he is almost done. Will hurt in short term but help in long term. 10 and 11 classes will be top flight if things hold as they are now.
