Maybe they should focus on winning games....

According to court records, the day after the title game, officials from Florida State's compliance department contacted the Big 12 Conference and asked the league to investigate Balogun's eligibility. After a follow-up, the Big 12 was satisfied with the information provided by OU's compliance department.

FSU!? Motive? The odds of us playing them are remote and we have a chance to crush their arch enemy - Miami. Guess it doesn't matter where it came from, but this is very odd.

Come on, CK... do we really need three Balogun threads? :(

:P Not that I mind bashing Florida State a little more than we did January 01

I believe the Florida State information was not in the other one. I should have posted it there, but I just wasn't thinking.

I can tell you why they did it...because Florida Sate is a stickler to the rules and a beacon of NCAA compliance and they are just trying to uphold the standards and continue to be the pillar of the college football community

Thanks for the joke of the day. In all seriousness they need to worry about themselves and how the hell would they no anything about Baloguns situation unless they have someone on their squad from Lackawanna CC.

What is retarded is the fact that the announcers in the BCS game are the ones that made the statement that Balogun was 25 years old and played semi-pro ball blah blah blah...that is what has brought all of this on.

Florida State had 30 year old Chris Weinke by gawd...what can they say about it?

Yes, but he played baseball. The rules are different because he played the sport that he is playing currently. Stupid as ****, I know.

I know CK, just sayin that FSU had a player that was 26. If they are freaking out that we had one that was 25 they should just mind their own damn bidness...thats all.

The worst part about it is that they pursued it multiple times. The Big 12 office, which requested additional info from OU, and was satisfied with the answer. The OU office, which re-opened the investigation, received statements in official legal affidavits that regarded the "Internet" box scores as inakurat. Hell-bent on making OU pay for some unknown reason (other than they suck), Free Shoes U decides to take it to the NCAA, knowing how the NCAA LOVES to investigate OU.

I hate the state of Florida.

Free Shoes U. = Oregon East

They can't beat us on the field, so they have to get some bureaucrat to do their dirty work for them.

I hate F$U as much as anybody so I guess we now have some common enemy. Fact is that they were trying to use the NCAA's ruling on Balugon to get a reversal on their wr Surrency but they should of known that the NCAA would just go after OU instead of changing their mind on Surrency.

Look for Bowden and several other of their coaches to be gone after this year and them to be an easy win for you in 2010. Beat them bad, humiliate them if you can. After some of the crap they have pulled over the years in our series, I have a no mercy rule for F$U. Only Lame Kitten is further up my chit list than St. "I didn't know" Bowden.

Good luck wtih Balugon, seems like a real BS rule but if he was lying and it is proved, he should be persona non gratis for putting the OU program in this position now, especially with Wort hurting (hope it is minor)

stoopified

Now we know why Free Shoes U has compliance problems, they are too busy minding other teams business instead of their own.

Thanks, but I really don't see a depth issue. We will be fine at LB.
