How many Kickoff and/or Punts for TD's did we allow last year?

Anyone know?

Four kickoff returns for TDs. NCAA record I wish we didn't have.

Four TDs were: Cincy, Texas, Texas A & M, and Oklahoma State...

The last three really rankle.

Am I one of the only people who believes that the kickoff return Texas got a TD from gave them momentum they were losing and we were gaining but that helped put them back in the game? Just wondering.

Anyway, at least we improved as the year went on...hopefully that continued throughout the off season.

You and a herd of millions. I think I'm the lone person that doesn't think it was a big deal. Bottom line: in big games you must win the 2nd half. In 2 games last year, we had the lead or a tie at half and got out played after that. RR's injury was 100X more important than that return.

Also, technically that return was totally meaningless as was the entire game. We won the conference and entered the tltle game BCS #1.

Thanks CV. God, it felt like nearly one every game.

I agree..it meant nothing....the quick strike offense should have nullified it....SHOULD HAVE....oh well.....let's get it settled in OCT!

No punt returns even came close if I remember. That's what doesn't make sense. If you're ****ty tacklers, then you should have a lot more than just KO coverage issues. I think too many times we just got lazy when we were up and combine a poor effort with a short kickoff and there you go.

We weren't ever in our lanes if I remember right. I'm sorry I brought it up as it does bring back bad memories. I'm just not privy to the local media and am curious as to whether this has been addressed by our staff.

As for Texas, I have a feeling we are going to give them a bloodbath.

If I was watching on TV, I'd briefly change channels to another game, our KO coverage was so bad. At the game I'd just look away and listen for crowd reaction.

This is something that simply HAS to improve. Can't get worse, right?

So how many got returned past the 50?

And it did. That's when we got the quick Gresham TD to put us back by 11 at 21-10. It's what happened later that mattered (or turned out not to matter).

But yes, OU and UT are 2 trains moving head-on on the same track this year.

Didn't that Cincy kid run back like 6 for TD's against us!?!?1? :D

It damn sure felt like it. I can remember screaming to the top of my lungs "FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD, KICK IT OUT OF BOUNDS!!!"

I will give our guys a little slack, when u score that much, you have to kick a lot.

How in the heck doesn't one of our teams from '96 through '98 hold this record?

I'm going way out on a limb and guessing they didn't kick off as much :)
