So they have to replace a huge chunk of their defense and one of their wideouts is hurt.

I'm smelling an upset...oh wait, that's just the burboun

FAU used to really, really suck... I mean, I love ESPN's Bottom 10 and they were joined at the hip with FIU as F_U on that list every week. So hey, if he has that team thinking they can take on Texas (lol @ 52-10 beating mentioned in the linked article) and Nebbish, more power to him.

Of course, Coach Dodge had North Texas thinking they could take on Oklahoma in his debut at the college level... we all know how that one ended :D

The more That Old Drunk spouts off in the preseason, the more I think he should've coached at OSU.

First injury: Senior wide receiver Chris Bonner sat out practice Wednesday after injuring his hamstring Tuesday. It is not serious, but they will be careful with Bonner, who is expected to start and had 42 catches for 422 yards and three touchdowns last season.

Ya gotta be careful:rolleyes:

I only saw one Howie the Drunk home game (homecoming, losing to the Jayhawks). I hope the Huskers pound the Owls into the dust.

They will.

Even though I am old school and still like the Huskers even though their fan base has changed a lot. Used to be Huskers and OU had a lot of respect for each other but I think they have just gone through what we did and their fan base is as at wits end as ours was for a while.

I think BP is a good fit for the Huskers. I still love the Husker fan base (at least the old school type, younger ones jury still out).

LMFAO!

Schnellenberger praised Nebraska and the Huskers storied past, but said FAU still could come away with a win if they play a flawless game and force some turnovers.

OP is stretching just a wee bit.

I make it a point to attend one or two FAU games a year just to heckle him. He has cleaned up his act though with regard to the drinking.

Tell me ole wise one....where is the stretch.

If that is not thinking his owls can/will beat Nebraska, I do not know what is.

It does not state in the OP that he thinks his Owls will destroy Nebraska.

They CAN win (any team CAN win at any time) if they play a FLAWLESS game (technically impossible to do) AND force turnovers (never a given).

Translating that into Smellsofbourbon thinks his Owls will beat Nebraska defies logic.

What doesn't defy logic is that the OP hyped up the quote a little to get some hits and replies on a thread the OP started.

Thanks for the lesson.

The fact is, Smellyburger thinks his team will win the game.

You can try to sugar coat a turd and sell it as a candy bar all you want...but in reality, it is just a turd.
