I figured some of you fellas might have a clue on this.
I recently bought a book at a used book shop called "Your Son and Six Fighting Admirals." It contains an note from a grandfather to his enlisted grandson, as well as the enlistee's name and ASN. I went to one of the government archive sites and was able to enter the ASN pull up the soldiers general info, but I think it would be cool to track the guy or his kids/grandkids down and learn more about the guy.
Any ideas?
