From the article, it looks like the kid's high school is on leave over the issue. I doubt OSU itself gets into any trouble unless it can be proved they knew the HS coach did it.

Cheater Cowboys... it has a much better ring to it than "fair weather fan cheatin' goonerz" :D

Of course, there's the possibility that nobody at OSU was aware that his transcripts might be false... you have to place a certain amount of trust in a recruit that they will do the right thing absent of coaches and schools supervising them. You can't fault a university entirely in a situation like this.

Of course, whenever we use that excuse, we get called fairweather fan cheatin' goonerz

Senior quarterback Zac Robinson and senior center Andrew Lewis are the two Cowboys featured, marking the first time current OSU student-athletes have appeared on the cover of the publication.

Keep your eyes on this one gang. This happened in my district and I know the head coach from Morton Ranch from his time coaching at Katy HS. This is probably going to be made into an HBO series when the whole mess spills out. Think messy divorce, woman scorned, phone calls to the NCAA, revenge!

Doesn't sound like OSU was complicit. Saying they cheated when they, so far, don't seem to have cheated is a VERY Poke thing to do.

True, but everyone insists that we cheated when we had a few players getting paid for work they did not perform. The NCAA acknowledges that our coaches knew nothing about it. Does that change the perception that we cheated?

That's incredibly different. Bomar took money while enrolled at OU. This kid's transgressions appeared to have occurred in high school, and it's possible (but not probable) that the kid never even knew his grades were doctored.

This is a non-issue. Who gives a shiz if some kid I ain't never heard of cheated in high school and happened to matriculate to OKST? I care if OKST is cheating, because that's funny and we get to laugh at them and assert moral superiority. But for now, whining and laughing just makes it look like we care more than we do or should.

Not only that, but now there is a report that a female teacher had an inappropriate relationship with a student at the same school. Apparently, Katy ISD and Morton Ranch is running amock over there! Give their team the death penalty! HAHA! That principal is probably up to his eyes ball in shtuff right now.

Nobody gives a shiz unless OSU knew the kid's grade was doctored. Do you recall the probation OU received for the same offense? Kid gets HS grade changed, then matriculates to OU, then OU gets busted and put on probation because we had a coach that knew something was up? Certainly its newsworthy, since this exact same scenario ended up getting us put on probation once before.

There's zero indication that OSU knows, and it looks like his grades were doctored to keep him eligible in HS, not to get him to college.

But keep obsessing about OSU...I guess some of us have to...

Nasty Nasty Nasty... apparently the female teacher was the wife of one of the assistance coaches.. playing hide the salami with one of the players... rats out the coaches... her husband goes ballistic and rats her out to the coppers...

Things are not running amock in the Katy ISD. The AD is highly respected. This was entirely the work of the head coach and two assistants.
How could you say that things are running amock in the Katy ISD.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised of a few teacher/student secks allegations as well. This Morton Ranch deal is going to be big and may affect the eligibility of quite a few students. A few people will probably lose their jobs.
