Alabama or LSU. Ole Miss is getting a lot of hype because they beat the best player to have ever played any sport ever last year at his own place and an injured, unmotivated Tech team in the Cotton Bowl. Houston Nutt is a decent coach, but the only times he won the West division at Arkansas were when nothing big was expected of the Hogs and the rest of the division was down a bit. Not the case this year.

I'll go with Alabama since they won it last year and return a good chunk of their talent while bringing in some talent from some great recruiting classes. McElroy will probably start off kinda rough but by the end of the season he should be better than John Parker Wilson ever was; dude threw like 46 career TD passes. Sam threw more than that last year alone. LSU should be improved this year, also.

Alabama and if they face Florida in the SEC championship game Saban will get the better of Urban this time.

LSU. Mobile QB in a division that has no idea that the QB can run. Most of the teams in that division are mediocre and wouldn't give Florida, OU, Texas, or USC much trouble.

That's based on last year, though...

'Bama or LSU - whoever ends up with the most effective QB. I lean towards 'Bama because they did so well last year with a workable QB as where LSU got murdered due to poor QB play. Wilson was very experienced though, so that shouldn't be discounted and 'Bama won't have that luxury this year.

Tebow will win it. Even though he's not in the west, nor is he a team by himself, it's still inevitable.

Yeah, what gives? Why aren't the Fightin' Tebows one of the options in the poll. They're good enough to win both divisions at once!!

The same tech that almost lost to Baylor. We killed both Crabby and their QB.

but Baylor took out Harrell's fingers

that guy really saved our bacon last year with his gimpy handed heroism

i don't think there was a lot left in the tank after the Texas game

as for the SEC, i've gotta go with Saban, but it should be lots of fun to watch
