Regardless of what is said in the speech, and regardless of what the speech is about, you DO realize that almost ANY speech given 50 years in the past concerning government policy would be absolutely irrelevant 50 years later because of how much society, circumstances, money, lives, social opinions, etc...CHANGE in that much time.

There isn't as much change as you think. The biggest issue I have with what Congress wants to pass is that none of what they pass will actually lower the prices of healthcare. It'll just give some politician the right to say what medicine and type of healthcare I get I'll end up having to spend money on something I'll probably never use.

I've actually read what's in the bill. There's nothing in it about making healthcare really any cheaper. The system we have right now you can get healthcare if you really want it or need it, but if you are healthy you really don't need it.

I've listened to that speech a dozen times.

And I've read what's in the (proposed) Health Care Bill.

The speech holds up in spirit, but not in policy or reality of OUR times.

The bill would do a lot to lower health care. Anyone who's telling you different is in the pocket of big medicine.

I would greatly appreciate you showing me the areas that it would actually lower health care costs.
