This was T's 70th career victory. Nicklaus had 79 total I believe. This is ridiculous....I don't think we can appreciate what we are seeing.

I can.

And I drove by the east side of Southern Hills on Harvard twice this evening to pickup my wife and was once more thankful I stood by him as he teed off on #17 at the PGA and watched him into the house with a victory.

Love him or hate him he's the best.

Tiger is just ridiculous. It's like if he's going one-on-one down the stretch against someone, there's virtually no chance he's going to lose. It was weird though, seeing Paddy take such a big swing at that one that he ker-plunked into the pond. When he brought the club all the way back over his head, I was like, WTF?

I didn't get to watch the back 9 but Harrington certainly gave it a go with his putter. He just took too many punches right off the bat today.

I still can't fathom how far those guys were bombing it on that course.

Dude, you need to watch the replay on #16 (I think). I was watching it on the Golf Channel last night. Tiger is down 1, hits his drive in the crap. Punches out into the fairway. Then he hits one of the most incredible shots I've ever seen. 8-iron from 182 yards, over the water, lands it above the hole and trickles it back to about 1-foot. On a green that guys couldn't make a sand wedge stick. In-****ing-credible.

And you're right, love him or hate him, he is the best - EVER.

There's a great read in the current Golf Digest on next year's new groove rule and how it will affect the "flyer" shot.
Eldrick says he'll be fine because he hits a soft ball. But some say the days of the bomb and gouge will be gone pretty soon.

Dean, I'll have to look that shot up on ze internet.
