1960 and 1961 were down years for Bud; 3-6-1 and 5-5. Anyone hear remember why or have read what was going on then?

Basically, DKR was hired by UT and he turned the Texas spicket off. After 1958, our recruiting went down hill & we never attained the level of recruiting we had in the 50's in Texas until the Fairbanks staff came on board.
