I have a buddy that just bought an imac or whatever you call them puters. he is looking for a capture device for his camcorder that will be compatible with the imac.
Anyone familiar with what he might need? It needs to have the rca inputs

does it not have a firewire connection on the camera?

depends on the camcorder. A lot of them come with ieee cables or whatever to plug into the computer. If he doesn't, I think there is a a/v device made by griffin. Check that, it doesn't appear on their site. I know they sell something at the Apple store, so he should check there and then price it out to find it cheaper.

I wonder if those have gotten better. I have the hd stick for mac and I am not thrilled with the quality.

he has an older camcorder so he needs something with rca connections
