I am going to make a decided effort to really enjoy this season, no matter the outcome. Florida, BCS bowls, and Texas will not ruin my year. BV is a great coach, Stoops can win the big game, the O-line will dominate, and we will win our 8th championship this season!

If you haven't been enjoying our success, you're part of the problem, not the solution. Turn in your wings.

What is wrong with me? I really should have enjoyed losing the last 3 NCG's we have played in, and the last 5 BCS bowls, and 3 out of the last 4 to Texas. I don't have any idea why i ever let that get in the way of me enjoying my season. Jermaine Gresham has the same problem, we should get help. Your messing up my mojo, I will not be negative.

"Anything less than a national championship would be (a disappointment)," Gresham said. "That's what we work for and play for. Nobody on this team plays for individual awards — nobody. We play as one and the ultimate goal is to win every game."

3 out of the last 4 to Texas.]

Funny... that's the take that a longwh0rn or other Sooner-hater would have on the RRS as opposed to saying 3 out of the last 5...6..7..8..9.

Funny... that's how a east coast SEC lovin' ESPN dude would describe Oklahoma and completely ignore the fact that we've won seven titles and quite a few Big 12 championships lately.

and the last 5 BCS bowls
 Ok, are you Pat Forde?

Your expectations are unreasonable. Disappointing in losing MNC games? You bet. Keeping you from enjoying the season to the point where you need to recalibrate your expectations? Lame. Enjoy the ride. Every victory is a gift.

Every victory is a gift.

Our gracious Seattle hosts of last year's OU-Warsh game approve that message.

The horrible, unfair, sad truth is you really and truly can't win 'em all.

How ridiculous would this seem?

2000 NC
2003 NC
2004 NC
2008 NC

The time when this could happen (and did happen) is over.
"Team of the Decade" USC hasn't won one since 2004.
Texas has won ONE in the last HOW many years?
Florida and LSU have both won 2 this decade. But have either of them been able to sustain conference and national dominance like we have in the 2000s?
In the early 2000s, Miami and Florida State were the juggernauts of the college football world.
What two teams have stood up THROUGHOUT the 2000s? Oklahoma and Ohio State. Both only have one crystal ball.
When Tebow graduates, LSU stops getting lucky, Mack Brown retires, Ohio State and Oklahoma will continue their runs. Why? Because our coaches (past and present) have built programs to last.

True, it's hard to see it that way sometimes, but it is still true.

Depending on who you ask, 1 in the last 4 years, or 1 in the last 38.

If you ask me, it's 1 in the last 38 :mack:

Mack Brown = 1 conference championship, in 25 years as a head coach.
