I give Venables props for our defense against Florida, and I really hope we carry that over into this season, and for the duration of the season.

To this point in time though with him as OU DC, there's at least that one game every season where we, and he, appear clueless.

Special Teams looked really good against Florida. I think it will be much improved this year.

I am pretty sure he puts his two cents in everywhere. He put more effort in the corners last year.

I say we not only fire the defensive coordinator, but we also make all defensive players offensive players... and NEVER let the other team even TOUCH the ball.

Kickoffs?! Punts?! Pbbth... train the kickers to kick the ball to ourselves, NOT to them!

So as you can see, there is no longer a need for a defensive coordinator.

That is true. I had actually forgotten about that hit until I watched some utube highlight posted on here a couple of days ago. That was such bs. But it worked.

Yeah... even though they should have been penalized, the wideouts played very cautiously the rest of the game. Manny dropped a sure 6 in the endzone and JI bobbled the deep post (that he never proved all year long against weaker teams he could haul in) and both dropsies lead to tip-drill INTs. It kinda reminded me how Chris Weinke started playing like crap after Torrance Marshall picked him off.
