The more distance we get from the shameful indident (http://newsok.com/red-river-football-texas-claims-big-12-championship-with-a/article/3359256)within the Texaz program, the more it annoys me that we have the asterisk bracketing the word "Texaz" every where on this site.

It was funny at first, but now it just off-sets the word "Texas" within every post . . . as if that's the first thing any of us really wants to see in every post.

Texas
Texas
Texas

Screw Texas.

They aren't worthy of an even an asterisk.

If we want to do this correctly, then I suggest we automatically format the text of the word to the smallest font size available, and perhaps leave the asterisk for those who deem it important.

So you'd have something like this:

texas

Let's diminish that word, not accentuate it.

Bring yer neg, if you must.

I think people are overreacting to the Texas asterisk filter. I think it's funny. But, philosophically, I think the problem with it is that UT sucks at so many things and in so many ways, it seems arbitrary to use the asterisk incident as a filter above all the other reasons to laugh at them.

The Tebow thing, however, MUST stay. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

It's about to be a new season. Who knows, they might not even deserve an asterisk this year. they might lose 3 or so games.

These things are hilarious the first few times.
Funny the next 20 times.
Somewhat musing the next 30 times.

I think it would be funny if every time someone wrote "asterisk" it was replaced with the name of the state to our south.

I agree and disagree. I'm not sure how it's back-firing. But I can see how it seems to accentuate the word. But I don't think we should drop the *. I think we should drop Texas.

If we want to talk about them we should simply use * to refer to them.

New season, yeah, but I can see * lasting for the next 20-30 years.
