Rivals Pre-Season Top 10

Every day for the last few months Rivals has been counting down the top 120teams from worst (the 120th team) to first. Only ten teams are left: USC, FL, Va. Tech, Okie State, UT, OU, ALA, tOSU, MISS,and Bosie State.

In the next ten days how do you think the media or at least Rivals will rate the top ten teams.

I'll say move em back to #4, and move the whorns and us up a spot each.

usc has a chance to be number 2, after week 2... not that it matters, if a big 12 team goes undefeated, their in i think.

USC is to high .... Florida is everyones #1 ... that's a lock. Then it's Texas and Oklahoma in the #2 and #3 spots. Some have OU at 2 while others have Texas at 2. Seems, though, as Texas is getting a bit more love in that spot ... not that it matters ... so lean with Texas as #2 and Oklahoma as #3. After that is probably USC ... maybe still to high but this is where they'll end up.

SUC has no business being ahead of FLA, OU, and Texas. You lose a QB and your entire front seven, only potential keeps you that high. I might even consider putting 'Bama ahead of them.

jlew, it's not that I think USC is that good, with the exception of tOSU, I think everyone else they play is that weak. My ratings are based on where I think Rivals will rank the teams, NOT where I think the should be rated. I'd put USC 4th after FL, OU and UT.

Just don't agree with boise st. and va tech starting the T-10. Recognizing that lsu and oregon are in the 11-15 range, here is where it should have landed:

You are right! OK St was rated 10th by Rivals today (8/4). Grade A for their offense, Grade C for their defense.

Just taking those 10 teams, my top 10 would be-

1. Florida
2. OU
3. USC
4. Texas
5. Alabama
6. Mississippi
7. Ohio State
8. Virginia Tech
9. Oklahoma State
10. Boise State

This wouldn't be my top 10, though. I'd have different teams, but I don't want to go through the trouble. The season hasn't even started. We know hardly anything.

Polls shouldn't even be released until the 5th week of the season. How in God's name do they know how OK Lite's defense is going to be, or how good OU's o-line may be?
