"5-star defensive end prospect J.R. Ferguson has cut his list to 14 schools. California, Florida State, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and Vanderbilt all made the cut.

Is this the kid who last January was going by Ego Ferguson? I think he was from the east coast.

do we have his test scores yet? my guess is that we eliminate 1/2 the list after his first SAT attempt (cal, vandy, unc, ucla, and PSU... gone from the list).

oh great, we made the top 14 list of a kid who called himself (or allowed others to call him) 'Ego'? That's probably the appropriate name for someone who releases a top 14 list.

No thanks. Can't win MNC with kids like that.

But I must mention that I've won as many national championships with 5 star players I've recruited as he has with 5 star players he's recruited.

I'd bet it's more than we had in 2000. That's part of the problem, IMO.

I'll bet you 3/4 of five star recruits have big egos. If every big time school was drooling over you, you would too.

His name is actually Ego Ferguson Jr (father is Ego Ferguson Sr) so I really don't think it's an "ego" thing. :)

Saw a link on another board that he is going to Hargrave Military Academy to graduate early as he wants to go through spring practice.
