Any kayak enthusiasts around here? I just got back from West Virginia, and had a hell of a great time kayaking down the New River Gorge. The rapids were insane!

Anyway, I've done my fair share of float trips and I think I'm interested in getting a beginner's kayak to take out on Lake Waco or the occasional river for a few hours on the weekends. It's also really great exercise, and God knows I need to build up my upper-body strength.

I went by the Bass Pro Shop in BA a couple of days ago, and they have an Old Town Otter on sale for 219.00. That's pretty damned cheap. I'd want to add a few things though like a padded seat, deck rigging, some waterproof bags, etc so the final cost will be a bit more.

Yeah, I love me some kayaking SicEm. Check out boatertalk.com before you buy something new...there are great deals on there.

I'm selling my Liquid Logic CR250 whitewater kayak. It's 2 years old, been out on rivers in NC and Tennessee about 10 times.

Think I might move in the canoe direction soon.

WV is gorgeous though, huh?

One day, when you finally get your undergraduate degree after fecklessly flailing away at it for almost seven years, maybe, just maybe, you can know the joy of the only little man in a boat that matters.;)

BTW, you've got to be almost thirty now. I know its not fair to be critical of people with learning disorders, but...dayum.

SicEm, you need to stop with the boy scout type trips if you are ever gonna get any action.

Take a trip to Thailand(dont forget to do a package check unless you like that sorta thing) or the Amsterdam for gosh sakes.

Unless he finds a Woman who's Husband died of old age and is looking for a little fresh meat....then he might have some more pretty good stories about how menopause and Zima are a near lethal mix. :D

It really was gorgeous. The people leave something to be desired, but the country is great. The towns were very different than what I'm used to. The valleys are so narrow that the towns are built to fit within the narrow gaps between the mountains which reminds me a bit of Europe and how cramped some of the towns are.

The river was just a hell of a lot of fun. Great rapids mixed with plenty of deep still water so you could jump out and take a dip and swim around a bit and then head on down the river.

I bet your middle aged *** really gets off on being an internet *********. I bet you sit there with your bottle of Cialis beating it like a prisoner at Abu Ghraib whenever you jack (pun intended) one of my threads to post the same EXACT insult you've made 10,000 times before. After you've managed to shoot your wad from your last little witty comment, how about coming up with some new material and in the mean time STFU.
