It's Mike Leach. The games you don't think they'll win they do, the games they definitely should win are closer than they should be... and dag nabbit, we gotta go to Lubbock this year

EDIT: I also chose 'over' just because Mikey is the coach. That's all the work I'm gonna show - it's Mike Leach. Try to figure out Mike and you will have a week-long migraine.

They may lose to OU, saxet, okie state, and will potentially lose to Kansas or Nebraska, but not both. That equals out to at least 8 wins in my book.

Those that think they'll lose to Baylor, and I'm guessing some of you do, need to take your lips off of Griffin's jock.

Curly Bill
7/29/2009, 05:11 PM
...and kinda like Badj said, Leach is good for at least 8 wins just because. ;)

NormanPride
7/29/2009, 05:16 PM
Yeah, unless they lose to both Nebraska AND Kansas, they get 8. And there's the possibility that they upset someone good this year. Texas early...?

JLEW1818
7/29/2009, 05:17 PM
okay about Baylor... lets say Baylor is at 5 wins going into the last game of the season (Tech)

............. anything change?

(6 wins typically gets you into a bowl game for sure)

Lose to Fexas, Houston, Kansas, Okie Lite, OU, possibly Baylor.

Therefore, under.

badger
7/30/2009, 09:04 AM
He's had at least nine wins every season for the past several and a bowl game every season he's been at tech. something tells me that mikey will get as much winning as his crazy mind desires.

EDIT: I should note that it is a known fact that the only reason Mike Leach loses games is from fantasizing about pirates instead of coming up with defensive schemes equal to his offensive ones.

you remember when tech lit up ku at ku last yr, I know they have a new qb and no crabtree but still

soonerfan28

I think Taylor Potts is going to be a much better QB then Harrell was. He won't have Crabtree, but they've got some players. Eric Ward maybe?

7/30/2009, 10:47 AM
it doesnt matter who they have at quarterback or wr.....heck Collier could have 90 catches or throw for 40 tds at TT

oudivesherpa
7/30/2009, 11:11 AM
Considering the home cooking everyone seems to get in Lubbock with the Local Ref's being President of the Chamber of Commerce, I'd say 8 wins for Tech. Let's just hope we get some Ref's from out of state this year and someone who doesn't need a seeing eye dog to assist in spotting the ball.

7/30/2009, 11:28 AM
The loss of Crabby is equivalent to OUr loss of AD. They've reloaded more than good enough. However, big league experience will get them in Asstin and Stoolwater for sure.
By the time they get us, they should be pretty well in a groove and about as dangerous (offensively, at least) as anyone we'll play.

I am saying over. They are being vastly underrated. They shouldn't lose to Houston or Kansas. North Dakota, Rice, NM, K State, A&M, and Baylor (yes, baylor- i'm on the "get off robert griffin's jock" bandwagon) are given wins. They will win one of these: Texas, Nebraska, Ok State, or OU (GASP! that's never happened before...)

We don't seem to be lucky in Lubbock. Tech is pissed off at Texas. And I think they are better than Nebraska.

9-3

SoonerInFortSmith
7/30/2009, 12:47 PM
No. Dak., Rice, Houston, NM, KSU, TAM, KU, Baylor = W
That's 8.
Over.
They also could beat Neb. but can't call that one.
And if Tejas was at Lubbock I'd say 2 in a row.

Gord Lord, it's freakin Baylor!!

Tech only Freaking Baylor by 7 in Lubbock last year.

Of course, Tech tended to play down to their competition, upsetting the Longhorns and blowing out KU and OSU while struggling against Nevada, Nebraska, Texas A&M, & Baylor. But who says Tech won't do that again?

JLEW1818
7/30/2009, 05:28 PM

Harrell and Crabby were basically out for Baylor. I can't remember the specific injuries, but we killed them in Norman.

Harrell and Crabby were basically out for Baylor. I can't remember the specific injuries, but we killed them in Norman.

Crabtree injured that ankle in the first half and it plagued him through the NFL workout season. Harrell fractured multiple bones in his left hand, but played the entire game. He was in obvious pain. The Crabtree injury cost them their chance to win their bowl game, IMO.
