apparently, there's a pretty good place in Perkins which is near Stillwater. according to our Perkins poster/gofler.

I personally like El Vaqueros which is just west of town on Highway 51. It's right beside the Days Inn.

I was wondering if that was still open.

Yes Mexico Joe's is still running, and it's the only Joes worth visiting, but I still find El Vaq's to be better, IMHO.

there used to be a nice place near Main street, was an upstairs establishment but I do believe it's now closed. wasn't Messican, they had a wide ranging menu.
must have been too upscale for them Stillwaters.

You think a lot of Mexicans would eat at The American?

Stillwater Bay?...it had such a great atmosphere sitting upstairs looking out the widow across downtown Stillwater, the little bank and courthouse but no bay. Where the **** was the bay?

In that town, bay refers to a horse rather than a body of water.

If you didn't see it out the window, look down at your plate.

Stillwater Bay (Oyster Co.) was a Stan Clark restaurant. It went out of business because it was pricier, located downtown (so there were always parking issues), and didn't attract enough students to keep the 'fun' factor going.
