I discovered a new line of handgun ammo, and just as importantly, discovered a local retailer with plenty in stock in all the popular calibers. It ain't cheap at 38.00 bucks a box, but I'm switching to it in all my carry guns.

It's RBCD Platinum Plus Ammunition. The dealio is, it utilizes a non-ricocheting fragmenting soft point that won't penetrate dry-wall (e.g. home interior walls) but creates a cavernous, immediately lethal, practically untreatable wound if fired into the center-of-mass of a perp. DHS air marshals use it because it won't penetrate an aircraft fuselage but, as already mentioned, is absolutely devastating on human beings.

Note: I have no financial interest in the above described ammunition manufacturer, nor any entity selling said ammunition. Moreover, I specifically and expressly disclaim any liability arising from your use and/or purchase of said ammunition. Your mileage may vary. Drink responsibly. Loose lips sink ships. Caveat Emptor. Guns are tools that are dangerous in the hands of untrained people. Idiots, retards and stupid people should not own, carry or fire guns. So there.

I'm thinking . . . . Nope, I can't get my mind around why you would treat an immediately lethal wound.

The round kinda Cuisinarts internal organs into red goo and and the target bleeds out very quickly. The cool part is, the platinum coating over the hollow-point insures penetration of several layers of clothing while still allowing full bullet bloom once it enters tissue.

Even if the perp makes it alive to an ER, he will quickly assume room temperature.

Guys, look at the second photo. Hydroshok on the left, this round on the right.

The thing is, Hydroshok, Golden Talon, really any of the jacketed hollowpoints all perform the same. This round is simply more devastating IMHO. And it feeds perfectly since it's profile is identical to FMJ ball service ammunition.

Anyhoo, I like the fact there's no chance of ricochet and you won't kill your wife in the next room by accident of you miss the bad guy in your den.
