His dad has stated that we will get an official visit from him. We will see what happens after that.

This guy is no doubt a LT and we've had some pretty good ones in the Stoops era. Jammal Brown, Phil Loadholt and now Trent Williams. Jammal's a starter and Loadholt is looking like the next RT for the Vikings. Trent will get his named called next year. What's not to like?

I think with Henderson being from Minnesota, and getting to see a guy like him (the Load) play at that level and block for the likes of AD, can only help landing him. In the end, I think it will be between the Bucknuts and us. In that case, we should land him.

Yea, I might be worried if he was from Michigan or Ohio, but the fact that Minnesota isn't a big time program and we are makes me worry less. Some guys are just Big 10 at heart and that may make him choose OSU over us. It also doesn't hurt that he doesn't really fit Michigan's new offense.

If he wants to play both football and basketball, with that group, OU and tOSU are the best and most consistent choices. The fact that we have the reigning players of the year in both sports says something (and we have a shot at that again this year with Sam and WW), as well as, again, the fact he will see a Sooner playing OT for the Vikes along with AD.

Yeah but Stoops would never let him play both sports....

IronHorseSooner

True. I can't think of anybody who has done that in the Stoops era.

It wasn't hoops as the other sport, but Brandon Jones did play baseball at OU.

I forgot about Brandon Jones. There might have been some track guys as well, but nobody else for BBALL. Ironically, I remember some talk when The Load got here that he wanted to go out for the BBALL team.

Yes, but Stoops in no uncertain terms told Brandon Jones that it was time to give baseball up.

Mr. Henderson, with the graduation of T Will, we will have an opening at LT. You are welcome to come and join the greatest football program in modern history, and play for the same team that your new hometown heroes of AD and Big Phil played. The choice, paduan, is yours.

It would be good to get him, but if we lose him to tOSU, it wouldn't be the first time we were in the hunt and lost a big time O-Lineman to them. They have a pretty decent reputation for putting great O-Linemen into the league, too.

I think he's already set on USC.

So say we don't get him. Are we targeting any other big time OL, or maybe a JC OL or two?

Big D Sooner

We desperately need some big time o linemen. I don't really see anyone on the roster who will be here next year being a dominant lineman

Funny, Stephen Good was all-world 5-star.

Maybe we don't need "big time".

None that I can think of are even available, or interested.

We will probably have to grab a JC lineman.

He was over celebrating with the USC players after they beat tOSU. Just sayin'.

We can always convert a TE or something to a lineman. :O

Meh. Even if we signed a top-tier lineman, who says they're here in 2 years?

Our OL recruiting and retention have both been awful for the past several years.
