He played both last year. This spring was spun down to DE permanently to give Keenan Robinson more time at LB.

I hate to see this but 3 of their 5 OL are all big 12..... I'm guessing they'll have a slightly better run game. They were terrible running the ball last year and I loved it!!!

C Chris Hall# ***Texas*** 6-4 295 Sr/3L Irving, ***Texas***
OL Adam Ulatoski* *Texas*** 6-6 310 Sr/3L Southlake, ***Texas***
OL Brandon Carter ***Texas*** Tech 6-7 354 Sr/3L Longview,

Just two, actually. Carter is Texas Tech's.

Note also that we have two folks on the offensive line as well: Trent Williams AND Jermaine Gresham. When it comes to running the ball, tight end MATTERS. Factor in our other tight ends with even deeper blocking skills and it's easy to see why we're are going to have every bit as effective of a running game as we did last year - perhaps moreso.

The key to this season is really simple, folks: if Bradford stays healthy, then we will be playing for it all again. That's my prediction.

hopefully gresham has learned how to run block over the off season..

Doesn't need to. That's why we have Brody.

Exactly. That's what shoe-polish is for.

No wait . . . crap . . . the numbers thing is a real barrier there.

Let me think on this for a bit and I'll get back to you.

Another reason Gresham doesn't need to block is that he's equally effective waving his hand at the runner and telling him to hurry up.

(winces with pain.)

Or . . . then again . . . maybe he does need to work on his blocking skills a bit.

it is a liability when you cant run to whatever side he is on in goalline situations.. ...It seems more of an effort thing than an ability issue.to often he gives the "Ole!" bullfighting technique..The guy is a very talented, don't get me wrong..nobody has it all together, but he really needs to pick it up..

People wonder why we cut down on pitch play, or running anything to the outside..when you can't get blocking out there, it kinds forces everything up the middle..

Texas will have a really good o-line next year, but that won't matter because we rotate so many d-linemen.

their strength is gonna be their secondary..possibly the best in the big 12...how these receivers match up with them and match their intensity and aggressiveness is gonna be a big part of the game

I still say we have the best corners.

horns were 104th in pass defense last year, we weren't much better at 99th...

I could see the horns being worse on pass defense this year, with the lack of defensive line play

They've got some good depth, but we have the best CB combo in the nation.

Didn't see where anyone had counted up the score:

OU...8
ut....5
osu..5
bu...3 (4 if you count "newcomer of the year")
kan..2
neb..2
miz...1

And a big goose egg for Iowa St., Colorado, Texas A&M, K-State, and TTech.

i know i have been away for quite a while, but when did we move past ridicule for anyone who thinks gresham can't block?

personally, the thing that worries me the most about that AB12 list is texas has the 1st team center.

Hello 1st team center, meet the real G. McCoy.

the OL is about being better than the sum of your parts. however, the magnitude better is typically determined by how good your center and your backside OT are. any line with a center that can take on a DT solo is much, much better than a line that can't.

Our center this year has at least gotten some playing time I believe. He's green, but should be very good.

I was very concerned when Vince Carter graduated...4 year starter...consistent performer..in steps Cooper and the beat goes on....Hopefully this next one will keep this going

amazing how opinions vary. i think carter is the weakest center we've had during the stoops era. center seems to be one position where you absolutely need the guy to redshirt.
