According to imdb.com the show you speak of, "Community" is being written by Dan Harmon...those of you familiar with Channel 101 and Yacht Rock will know who he is. I am encouraged by this bit of information.

I certainly hope the show is good, because in my opinion he is not even relevent anymore. I liked a lot of his old stuff, so hopefully this show can bring him back in a good way.

I just googled him to look at his Wikipedia... wow. He's old now. As much as I've seen nat'l lampoon's stuff, I never would have thought that he's old now, but I guess he was part of the original SNL cast and all.
