View Full Version : Prayers for a friend, please

I think this is the second time I've asked for help on here before--the other one being when my wife was sick during pregnancy a couple years ago. My wife and son are well, by the way.

I have a friend from college and medical school with whom I've lost touch as we went to different places for residency. I haven't touched base with him in over 6 years. I sent him an email yesterday via the OU alumni directory just to check in, and it turns out he has had a rough time of late. His beautiful wife of over 8 years and the mother of his two children has been fighting a cancer for 2-3 years, and she is now on hospice. She is expected to pass in a matter of days.

Please pray for this man, his children, and his wife. He is one of the finest people I've known. I am filled with regret that our lives have diverged such that he's been going through what he's been going through without whatever support I could have provided.

It must truly be a difficult time for you, You are a good friend to feel what your friend must be going through at this time and ask for prayers on his behalf. I along with my wife and children will pray for your friend, his wife, and children.

I know you told me about this situation when we talked on the phone the other day. But sorry...I just now saw this thread.

Sorry to hear she passed away. FWIW tell him your brother is sorry for his loss. I can't imagine what he's going through. Let us know if you need anything.

He is one of the finest people I've known.

Funny how its always the good one's die young....our friend was the same way, very good guy and everybody liked him, he had ALOT to offer this world.
