Gundy is correct. 1991 Gator Bowl and also 2 years later.

I believe he also bragged that one day he'd be the first OU QB to throw it 50 times in a game, but he never did. I was a kid, though, when that happened, so I could be remembering that quote wrong.

It has to be us since we've never beat OU and as far as I know a 100% win % is as good as it gets.

Also scored 82 against Colorado in 80, but it looks like that was like 10 TDs and 4 FGs or something like that. This also isn't counting the Owens era when we scored over 90 regularly.

Mark Clayton, and it was a terrible pass. Don't forget Hybl completed a pass on the next play and we had first and goal at the two.

Huh, that's not the way I remember it. Not saying you're wrong, just that I thought the pass was floated, but that it was fine because he was so wide open. Also thought the play devastated our chances, but maybe I was just super pissed that they completed the same play later the game.

I was at the game and the play unfolded right in front of me. Hybl slipped trying to adjust to come back for it. It was a terrible pass. It didn't look nearly as bad on TV as it did in person.

And again, what everyone forgets is that we complete a pass to Josh Norman on the next play to set up 1st and goal from the two. That was back when our O-line was horrible on the run. Horrible.

It just wasn't meant to be, I guess. It wouldn't have mattered anyway if we could have just won a certain home game later that season, but that wasn't meant to be either... and it's probably for the better, because then the "Stoops can't win BCS games" talk got postponed for a few years. Nobody was beating stupid Miami that year

In any event, are there any outstanding questions that need answering? If not, here's one:

What is the football game that got outstanding golfer Anthony Kim to come to OU and why did he like OU so much afterward?

EDIT: Oh, the BCS rating question! USC-Tex was first, Oklahoma-Florida State was second, with a 17.8 Nielsen rating. You can check 'em all here. (http://www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/tvratings)
