Was he a backup QB at OU in the mid nineties? Any highlights? I heard the name but I am drawing a blank

Yes. He started against BYU for Garrick McGee when he had Viral Meningitis in the woeful 94' Copper Bowl.

It was Gary Gibbs last game at OU and Drunkenburger was up in the booth jawing while the Cougars humiliated us on the field.

It was Gary Gibbs last game at OU and Drunkenburger was up in the booth jawing while the Cougars humiliated us on the field.I shudder at the memory.The bad thing about Brown having to replace McGee was he had been playing WR.

He was also the backup to Gundy in '93
