I'll do it by position.

QB-Sam Bradford
RB/WR-Mossis Madu
WR-Ryan Broyles and Jameel Owens
TE-Jermaine Gresham
DT-Gerald McCoy
LB-Austin Box
CB-Dom Franks
K-Jimmy Stevens
P-Tress Way

That's not too bad for a state the size of ours and I'm sure that we have quite a few across the nation.

Javon Harris is listed in the 2-deep at Safety.

We may have a new walk-on kick off guy from Oklahoma. If it's not him, Moreland is from Tulsa and he was kicking off last year.

Not a big deal because he's a deep snapper but Derrick Shaw will play every game unless we don't punt or kick.

If Stacey McGee plays it's in blowouts at the end of games. We have some depth at DT.

Unless something changed recently, Moreland hung 'em up a while ago.

I didn't know that, I know he wsa kicking it off some last year. I guess it's Easly or Eason who is kicking it off now? I can't remember his name, someone else may know for sure.

we have always been the best football state in the country per capita.

Mississippi sends more kids to FBS schools overall per capita.

I'm pretty sure that we're top five though.:)

Tress Way should be huge this year. Dude was badazz a couple of years ago at Union.

Emmanuel Jones and Brian Lepak probably won't start but both will get significant playing time. Jones is from Union and Lepak is from Claremore.

As much as Texas likes to claim that we get all our talent from their state. Bradford, Murray, Brown, Madu, Broyles, Gresham, Clapp, Eldridge, Caleb, Miller, Owens, Kenney, Simmons, McCoy, Reynolds, Franks, Carter, Alexander, Stevens, Way, Easley... all expected to start or contribute greatly (maybe not the kickers), all not from Texas.

He is going to be a special teams stud.

Are any of 'em (former or current) Soccer players? They pretty much make the best kickers.

I'm too lazy to research proof but IF memory serves EVERY OU national title team had more than half their starters from Oklahoma.I guess that doesn't bode well for national title hopes this year.

Is Cameron Kenney from Oklahoma?

I know he is not listed as a kicker..but he can kick.

Also, what about Gabe Lynn, will he see playing time this year or will he end up red shirting?

Georgia is way up there per captia goes...and I believe they throw out more per capita than Oklahoma does.

1985 and 2000, we did not have 11 starters from the state of Oklahoma starting....did we?

I'm getting tired so I'm not going to go back & look @ '85, but as for '00 off the top of my head:

Thatcher
Thompson
Callens
Calmus
Holleyman and or Klein (I say and or because the DL rotated so much & Fisher (TX) started at DT as well) Wilson-Guest was in there as well when his back permitted
Heinecke
Steffen
Burcham
Kempenich
Romero
Littrell
Trent Smith
all 3 specialists (Ferguson, Duncan, Panter)

Don't know if I missed anybody, but that's well over half in any case.

No, but the name of his hometown is pretty cool- Dacula, Georgia. I wonder if somebody will make a play on that name during his time in Norman, much like with the Chupacabra. Kinney is also a soccer player.
