Although I don't like Oregon especially after being robbed in 2006, these jerseys are pretty cool. Not gunna lie.

I had no idea that Ore has 4 school colors now- Highlighter yella, muted swamp green, gray, and Black.

If there is a positive side to this, when looking at game pictures one will be able to instantly know which season it was taken.

I am sorry. Those wings on a regular uni seem pretty legit. I like it but I hate oregon!

Yeah I like the wings, but you got to do something to keep the recruits attention every year, because you are still going to be behing SUC.

Can't help to think of "Mighty Ducks" Emilio Estevez putting on that Jersey and saying "I'm A Duck and I would be proud to fly with any of you"

Have to admit, I like the "tradition" of new unis every year. Sorta like new car models coming out in the fall, there is anticipation about what all the car companies are doing - there is going to be some hit and miss. I'd rather have an elite program like OU along with a classic uniform, but it works for the ducks.

Broken Wings = The New Oregon school song!!

The Joey Harrington model was fine... the oldest uni shown is pretty Baylor... some years it's just hideous... the wings didn't look half bad on the tee vee last season.

EDIT: Our other favorite northwest team, Bois Estate, also has a new fashion statement. (http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/football/ncaa_blog/2009/06/nike_unveils_new_oregon_ducks.html)

EDIT2: For those really obsessed with these things, here (http://www.katu.com/sports/48928282.html)'s more detailed pics of the new Quacks.

Actually... those unis are a lot better looking than the ones the trotted out in recent years. Aside from the wings (which look super-awful I think), the unis don't look that bad. My favorite out of this year's models is the grey and white version. Ironically enough, its the one without any of Oregon's school colors on it. The "carbon" helmets are much better looking than the "yellow flame" helmets they had last year.

I can't really blame them for wanting to shake things up every year. If they want to create the impression of "cutting edge" without spending a dime of their own money, then more power to them. It's not like they've got a huge tradition-steeped fan base that would raise an uproar over a simple jersey change. Can you imagine the head-explodery that would happen amongst the fans if OU changed jerseys every year? or nebraska? or saxeT?

I definitely noticed when they changed our unis recently.

It's a sad thing when the uni's with Donald Duck on the helmet is your best option.

OUr jerseys, just like all other college teams, have gotten tighter over the years.

Need to go back to the Akili Smith - style unis. Donald Duck on the dome is about as classic as the old Iowa State mustard yellow tornado helmets.

But this year's aren't that bad, at least in terms of Oregon uniforms.

Aggie, don't you think OSU could use a Nike makeover? You know, new unis to go with your new stadium? :D

To recap, Oregon has had a lot of uniform disasters, like the Big O baseball uni...

Or the band unis...

That failed mascot...
http://espn.go.com/media/pg2/2002/1029/photo/a_newduck_vt.jpg
And all of the football uni failures of the past... I'll just choose one:
http://www.40acressports.com/images/oregon-helmet-live.jpg
But as funny as those wings look in those pics of all the new uniforms, they do not look too bad during the game.

I think they should make the helmets a little pointier on top, cover them in leather, and then change the U in ducks to an I.

If they were serious about taking their can-do canard heritage to heart, they'd have tailfeathers on all their backsides.

Everyone knows a duck's proudest feature is his tailfeathers.

A true mallard of malice would never boast mere shoulder feathers.

They more remind me of the bad guys from Ah-Hah's "Take On Me" video.

Give those boys some wrenches. See if I'm wrong.
