They rate us 48th worst out of 50 states regarding OUr gun laws. We need to try harder people. I think we could be 50th if we really worked on it.:D

Methinks our state law, upheld by the Tenth Circuit, making it a crime for any person to deny your right to keep a firearm locked in your car in the company parking lot put us in the bottom 5. If we could just get concealed carry on campus for those with concealed carry permits we'd prolly be number 50.

It should be noted that the states Brady ranks highest also have another high ranking: crime.

Since I now live in New Mexico I guess I can do my part to help Oklahoma. I will take one of my guns out of my car.

T-48 means last, by the way

OK, LA and KY are basically 48, 49 and 50

naw John, the good 'ole boys are going to cart their guns regardless of the law. and whether we like 'em or not, we need them fellers around.

I have to admit I was a little surprised when I started checking into the Oklahoma CCW requirements and found out there was no marksmanship scoring, just shoot 50 rounds and not injure yourself or anybody else.

I haven't got mine yet. I didn't know you even had to fire your weapon to pass. Is this really true? I have to waste all that ammo? I mean if there was some cats to shoot at...then it would be worth it IMO.

Yeah, I think there should be some standard at least. In AZ you had to shoot from 5 and 10 yards I believe and accumulate a certain number of points to pass.
