So, Less refining capacity and even fewer good paying blue collar jobs. This bill will hit Oklahoma rather hard as well.

WASHINGTON - If climate-change legislation passes Congress in its current form, Lion Oil Co., an El Dorado refinery, will have to shutter operations within a year and lay off 1,200 workers, a company executive told a congressional panel Tuesday.

Passage of the bill "will make our survival impossible," Steve Cousins, vice president of refining, testified before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment.http://www.nwanews.com/adg/Business/261671/

Yeah, I am thinking Mexico will be refining most of our gasoline should this thing happen.

And in case you were wondering, Mexico has nearly no environmental regulations, and what ones they do can be easily ignored.

So that should help the environment A LOT, while making our gas more expensive.

But at least the Urf will be saved.

Well, not sure what you think will happen once the refiners start shutting down their plants and energy prices start going up again.

Basically this is a recipe for disaster to our economy, as if the reckless squandering by The One wasn't enough to crater the economy already...

The wind industry begs to differ.

It's about time we started paying the true cost of gasoline instead of having the government subsidize those pesky externalities that pseudo-capitalist Republicans always like to make somebody else pay for.
