I'm thinking more and more that this guy would have made a better Secretary of State than a President. Any chance he and Hillary can switch places?

I do like it how he mentioned Hussein as in Barack Hussein Obama in his speech, when previously, people were villified if they used his full name during the campaign. The man has been a total F up since the beginning and he only continues to show his extreme liberal hand and his "manchurian" nature.

Vaevictis
6/4/2009, 11:28 AM
I also like how most people who emphasized the "Hussein" part of his name pretended it wasn't shameless race-baiting, and how most people let them.

I don't know why I am so often amazed by how far off stream people on this board can take a post. Did I say he was a Christian leader? No. Not once did I say that. I don't believe it at all, so I wouldn't say it. Understand?
My point is that calling the quran "Holy" and quoting from it is either just a huge suck up ploy or he believes it to be true. I don't know or care which it is but both are wrong(if he is in fact a Christian as he claimed during the campaign) A Christian does not believe the koooran to be holy and therefore wouldn't say that it was. Words mean things.

Vaevictis
6/4/2009, 12:38 PM

Do you have any friends?

EDIT: Let me explain. I assume you do have friends, and that you didnt get them or keep them by being an obnoxious, close-minded jerk who abrades them constantly by emphasizing your differences with them and your contempt for them. Try to think how that might apply on a larger scale. Or maybe you DO just kill everyone you meet who disagrees with you.

Not to argue, but I haven't heard much outside of (a few people in) the U.S. I don't recall a cleric or leader from the M.E. or Asia saying anything. At least it hasn't been published or aired in the U.S. that I can recall.

I think the Muslim and Arab world have failed horribly on this. Perhaps creating a new tone will give them the reason to start to lead their people in a productive way. I think it was a great speech.
