Still my favorite athlete of all time.

I've had contact off and on with Steve since I was 8 years old. His wife worked at the old American Exchange Bank at Main and Berry and that is where his Heisman sat for quite a while after he won it. My Dad would take me in to the bank with him and I would just stand and stare at it. I suppose I do the same at Coach's when I am there...

Every time I see Steve, he lights up like we are best buddies. I know he has that kind of great personality, but it is still cool to talk with him like we are good friends.

His sister-in-law was my 1st Grade Teacher. I met him when I was 5, and have been hooked on Sooner Football ever since. I am proud that he is a fellow Miami Wardog.
