I finished off some pork spareribs that I over-cooked in my smoker Monday. It was my duty to eat them. Once I got past the charred stuff, they were "OK." But I couldn't let anyone else eat them.

It was my second try at cooking ribs. The first time, I kinda ran out of charcial & mesquite, so I finshed them in the oven, and they were pretty durn good. This time, I overdid both the heat and the time. Live and learn. :(

20 bucks is too much for chix parm anywhere. i was a little underwhelmed the one time i went to Pete's. It was cool and a good time, we drove out to krebs, had a lot of table wine and all but the food was good not great.

secret to good chicken parm is beat the snot of the butterflied breast for a big, thin mofo scallopini....and to use panko bread crumbs. panko bread crumbs, YWIA. lacking panko, always unflavored bread crumbs.

Mexican Middle Eastern style. Worst mexican food ever. I give it a 0.1. There were some muslim chicks in head scarves serving the food. I swear that the burrito tasted just like shawarma. Okay, it was shawarma. The so-called taco salad was nachos and the worst nachos ever. They put green olives on it in place of jalapenos, just a liny dollop of cheese on a few chips but the salsa was okay. I like Middle Eastern food and Mexican food, but the mix of the two is not good.

We use the Panko when we make it at home....The Isle of Capri does a lunch menu, that the other places don't that I really like...

Already this year, the old lady cook from Roseanna's died and the other day Nick Giacomo from Giacomo's died...Roseanna's is still OK, haven't tried Giacomo's after Nick's passing....
