Four Atlantic Coast Conference schools were selected Sunday as regional hosts for the 2009 NCAA baseball tournament.

No. 4 ranked North Carolina joined conference members Clemson, Florida State and Georgia Tech as ACC hosts. Other conferences with multiple hosts are the Big 12 (Oklahoma, *Texas*), Big West (Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine), Conference USA (East Carolina, Rice) and SEC (Florida, LSU, Ole Miss).

The road to Omaha begins with regional play at the following sites/hosts:
• Atlanta/Georgia Tech
• Austin, *Texas*/*Texas*
• Baton Rouge, La./LSU
• Chapel Hill, N.C./UNC
• Clemson, S.C./Clemson
• Fort Worth, *Texas*/TCU
• Fullerton, Calif./Cal State Fullerton
• Gainesville, Fla./Florida
• Greenville, N.C./East Carolina
• Houston/Rice
• Irvine, Calif./UC-Irvine
• Louisville, Ky./Louisville
• Norman, Okla./Oklahoma
• Oxford, Miss./Ole Miss
• Tallahassee, Fla./Florida State
• Tempe, Ariz./Arizona State

Each of the 16 host schools are guaranteed berths in the 64-team tournament, which starts Friday. The complete pairings for the 2009 field will be announced during Monday's The Road to Omaha selection show (ESPN, 12:30 p.m. ET).

This really doesn't come as a shock. If we could have won the tournament we would have been candidate for a super.

All-session tickets are now on sale at soonersports.com Single session tickets, if any are left would be on sale on Friday.

Here's the general schedule without knowing the other 3 teams. You have to have a separate ticket for each game unless you buy an all sessions ticket.

Friday, May 29
1 p.m. Game 1
7 p.m. Game 2

Saturday, May 30
1 p.m. Game 3 (Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2)
7 p.m. Game 4 (Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2)

Sunday, May 31
1 p.m. Game 5 (Winner Game 3. vs. Loser Game 4)
7 p.m. Game 6 (Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5)

Monday, June 5
7 p.m. Game 7 (if necessary same teams as Game 6)

I'm assuming students get in free with ID? I think it was that way when we last hosted. Should be able to make it Sat and Sun, hopefully won't have to take it to monday.

OU is the no. 7 national seed!! OSU got in and KU so far. TX is national 1 seed.

The only reason Tech did not get in was due to their HORRIBLE RPI. If it was anywhere close to the Pokes.....then they would be in and OSU would be out.

I doubt it, tech had a losing record in conf and overall, atleast osu took care of biz out of conf

I still feel sorry for teams like Rhode Island who had good season and still got left out. There seems to be more bias in the baseball selection than the basketball, and we definitely used it to our advantage today.
